Planet 9 1 is an independent publishing platform highlighting personal obsessions. It creates a space for sharing of fascinations with objects, places, and lived experiences. 2
Planet 9 fosters an interactive, two-way relationship between the author and the reader. Through purposeful multichannel approaches, it blurs the line between physical — digital, and private — public. 3 Content in hands and content on screen complement and add to one another.
It gives emerging artists, designers and writers the opportunity to share what they are passionate about.

Footnotes
1
Planet Nine is a hypothetical ninth planet at the edge of our solar system. Its existence is argued because of anomalies in the orbits of so-called extreme trans-Neptunian objects. So far, these phenomena can only be explained by the gravitational force of a ninth, undiscovered planet. Metaphorically, Planet 9 is a lonely satellite on the edge, spectating what is happening inside.
2
Planet 9 is building towards a community-driven and decentralized platform, open to contributions from the surrounding community and with a vision of a horizontal structure of leadership. It advocates for the abolition of the concept of individual genius and for the repeated, conscious recognition of its contributors.
3
It adopts the method of hypertext links, inviting exploration across media.
4
It is an ongoing exercise in creative writing and micro-publishing. It is both a long-term artistic research project and a method for collecting content for future use.
5
The themes of each issue are presented in an accessible format designed to create an environment where curiosity is welcome and readers do not feel intellectually out of place. Each issue is inherently multidisciplinary and builds a relationship with the creative process, tools, and materiality. They open the door to critical reflection on social and political values and focus on moments that usually take place on the periphery.
